2009 NEWS
June 6- While the last month has had it ups
and downs. Austin has been the man to
beat. In 6 starts he has 5 top 3 finishes and
the last 3 out of 4 being wins!! Austin has 2
wins at Limerock and 1 at Ransomville
Speedway.
Haley has done ok in her first season in the
600 sprint car. She has raced at Limerock
speedway for 3 events and she has been
told to remove the rookie flag from the car
which will allow her to start were she
qualifies and not at the back of the field.
Her first NYMM tour race was at Genesee
Speedway, 21 car took the green flag and
Haley started 21st. Haley did a nice job
staying out of trouble which allowed her to
move up to and finished 14. For her first
tour race and also first time at that track
we had a good night. Haley did suffer a
broken hand in school and was sideline for
the last 3 weeks. Team Oakes will be at
Ransomville on June 11 with both kids
racing their karts.
April 28- We are off and racing!! All 3 cars
went to practice at Limerock Speedway on
April 18th, the kids got back into the feel of
things and we had a outstanding day with
the weather and racing.
That was followed the next Saturday with
the first race of the year. Austin did a great
job and worked his way up to 2nd after
starting 5th in a caution free race. WAY TO
GO Austin.
Haley did her first ever race at Limerock in
a 600 Sprint. Haley did a great job she
finished 3rd in her heat and with 14 other
drivers Haley started the feature in the 3rd
spot. After running about 3 laps the rains
came and the race was stopped. Haley
looked very good in her first race!

Lafler Chassis for all his help and the After

April 4- Plans are coming together for 2009 the
600 sprint is just about finished and ready to go
racing!! The karts will be done this week and
will be ready to go for our first practice at
Limerock Speedway for all 3 cars.

Cordova from Pizza Logs for all of his help over
the years. Pizza Logs has been with us for 5
years now and with out his help we don't know if
we would be racing 600 sprints this year.
Thanks to everyone at Pizza Logs for all there
support. Good Luck to all Logger drivers this
year.
We also need thank JEGS.com for there
support again. This is three years running that
JEGS.com is with Team Oakes Racing. Thank
you JEGS and good luck to all your race teams.
Just Signs and Designs did any outstanding job
on our cars again this year. Thanks Dave and
Scott for all your help.
